Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
