Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
