Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 They know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
