Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
