Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
