Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, writers 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
