Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
