Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
