Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble scribes 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
