Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know all that you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
