Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
