Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble recorders, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
