Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 who know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
