Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
