Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
