Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
