Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
