Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
