Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 who know all that you do: 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
