Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 watching over you 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
