Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
