Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
