Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ When heaven is split open, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble, recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 to burn therein. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
