Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
