Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Generous and recording, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
