Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
