Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
