Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble, recording, 11 They know all that you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
