Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
