Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble recorders, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
