Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
