Al-Infitaar

Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
