Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
