Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
