Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble recorders, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
