Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
