Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 to burn therein. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
