Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, writers 11 who know what you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
