Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 watching over you 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
