Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
