Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
