Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 watching over you 11 They know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
