Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, writers 11 Who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
