Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
