Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
