Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know all that you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
