Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
