Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
