Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble scribes, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
