Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
